INAUGURATION OF HINDI DAY AND HINDI FORTNIGHT 2026

The Hindi Day and Hindi Fortnight 2026 programme was inaugurated on 16th September 2026 at the Main Office Campus of ICAR-CMFRI, Karwar Regional Station. The programme was organized to promote awareness of Hindi as the Official Language, encourage its greater use in official work and day-to-day communication, and motivate employees to actively participate in various Hindi-related competitions.
The programme was inaugurated by the Scientist-in-Charge, ICAR-CMFRI, Karwar Regional Station. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the importance of Hindi as the Official Language of the Union and encouraged all employees to make greater use of Hindi in official work and day-to-day activities. He urged the staff members to participate enthusiastically in the forthcoming online and offline Hindi competitions. He also announced the various Hindi competitions to be organized at the Centre and encouraged all employees to participate actively.
Dr. Mahesh V, Senior Scientist, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of using Hindi more frequently in routine official activities. He requested all staff members to use Hindi as much as possible in their day-to-day communication and to make continuous efforts to improve their Hindi speaking and writing skills. On the occasion, Dr. Kurva Raghu Ramudu, Scientist, and Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Scientist, conveyed their best wishes to all staff members for the forthcoming Hindi competitions and encouraged them to participate enthusiastically.
During the inaugural programme, the message of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, on the occasion of Hindi Day was also read out to the gathering. The programme was compered by Dr. Praveen Dube, Technical officer and Hindi officer who coordinated the proceedings and delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the programme. He expressed gratitude to the Scientist-in-Charge, all speakers and the staff members for their active participation and support in organizing the programme. The programme was attended by the Technical, Administrative and Multitasking Staff of the Karwar Regional Station. The staff members participated actively in the inaugural function and expressed their enthusiasm to participate in the various Hindi competitions to be organized during the Hindi Fortnight.
The inaugural programme concluded on a positive and enthusiastic note, with the staff members expressing their willingness to actively participate in the Hindi competitions and promote the use of Hindi in the official activities of the Karwar Regional Station.
