Agriculture Standing Committee Chairperson Shri. Charanjit Singh Channi visits ICAR-CMFRI

Shri Charanjit Singh Channi, Hon’ble Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Food Processing, visited the ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI), Kochi, from 2 to 3 January 2025.  The two-day tour highlighted the institute's cutting-edge contributions to marine research and its potential to bolster allied sectors.

During the visit, the Chairperson was apprised of ICAR-CMFRI's activities, expansive area coverage, pioneering work in marine resource management, facilities such as National Marine Biodiversity Museum, innovative black soldier fly facility for sustainable waste-to-protein conversion, and nutraceutical products derived from natural marine resources.
