Focus of Research :
- Marine Aquaculture
- Fish Physiology
- Fish Reproduction
- Marine live feed organisms
Background :
More than fifteen years of experience in freshwater, brackishwater and marine aquaculture. Led the development of marine finfish seed production and hatchery technology for commercially valuable species, including seabreams and rabbitfish. Specialized in the reproductive biology and physiology of farmed marine finfish, with expertise in immunological and biochemical techniques for fish health assessment. Experience in on-farm demonstrations of marine and coastal fish farming, utilizing diverse techniques such as cage farming, Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), and Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA). Proficient in ultra-structural studies of marine organisms using electron microscopy.
