Background :

I have graduated with a Bachelor of Fisheries Science from the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. I then pursued Master of Fisheries Science and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai. In 2013, I served as an Inspector of Fisheries in the Tamil Nadu State Fisheries Department. In January 2014, I joined the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a Scientist, beginning my career in the Mariculture Division at ICAR-CMFRI. Currently, I am based at the Calicut Regional Station of ICAR-CMFRI, focusing on seed production of marine finfishes and coastal mariculture. My research includes reproductive biology, domestication, broodstock development, induced breeding, larval rearing, nursery rearing, and grow-out culture of sea breams.
