Focus of Research :

  • Nutrigenomic research in mariculture species
  • Development of commercial feed for mariculture species
  • Fishmeal replacement using sustainable value-added agri-based feed ingredients
  • Nutraceuticals and disease management in mariculture

Background :

With Post Graduates in Fish Nutrition and Biochemistry, I have joined as a Scientist in Marine Biotechnology Division of ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi in 2014. Before joining into ARS, I worked with Growel Feeds Pvt Ltd., Andhra Pradesh as Assistant Manager- Fish Nutrition and Formulation since February 2012-July 2013 and gained rich experience in commercial aspects of feed manufacturing. Currently, I am working in food fish nutrition with nutrigenomic approach. Focusing on fishmeal replacement using different source least cost sustainable feed ingredients in the diet of marine food fish. Development of marine microalgal meal and oil production for marine fish nutrition. Production of value-added products from sustainable agricultural by-products for the diets of mariculture species. Development of cost effective better performing commercial feed formulation for mariculture species of India.
