Background :
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) from the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Thoothukudi. Thereafter, I pursued my Master’s degree (2014–2016) in Fisheries Resource Management at the Fisheries College and Research Institute, TNJFU, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. In 2020, I qualified the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) examination under Fisheries Resources Management and joined the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as a Scientist in January 2020. My initial posting was at the Fisheries Resources, Harvest & Post-Harvest Management Division at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai (2020–2023). In December 2023, I was transferred to the Finfish Fisheries Division, Tuticorin Regional station of CMFRI. My research interests focus on marine fishery resource assessment and management, including studies on species biology, taxonomy, stock assessment, and the conservation of ecologically significant and protected marine species.
