Background :

Having spent for short working experience in multinational shrimp farming, processing and export firms, I joined ICAR- CMFRI as a Senior Technical Officer, Mariculture at Veraval RS. Holding a Ph.D. in Biosciences with a specialization in Mariculture, I have over 14+ years of experience in R&D, demonstration, and knowledge transfer, contributing to mariculture innovations and policy development. As a key team member, I have been involved in securing 14 patents, including 3 granted industrial designs, 11 technologies/devices/methods/processes, and 3 ICAR technologies. Currently, I am focused on leveraging next-generation sustainable mariculture technologies and AI enabled decision-support systems through transdisciplinary approaches in mariculture research.

  • Geospatial Excellence Award-2023: by Geospatial World Forum and Survey of India, Dept. of Science and Technology, Government of India, in recognition of novel Geospatial modelling tool development for mariculture site selection and sea space governance for the development of mariculture parks on 19.10.2023 in Geosmart India international summit 2023 at HICC, Hyderabad.
  • ICAR-CMFRI Team Excellence Award-2021: Recognized for outstanding mariculture research, policy development, high-impact publications, and securing 11 patents on indigenous technological innovations.
