Background :
Dr. Shyam S. Salim brings over 27 years of expertise in marine fisheries economics, domestic marketing and international fish trade, climate change impacts on fisheries and fishing communities, socio-economic and livelihood analysis, fisheries management, and policy research. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening collaborative networks within and outside the institute to support country-level fisheries management and fisher welfare initiatives.
