Focus of Research :
- Coastal and marine biodiversity
- Conservation of ETP coastal and marine species
- Jellyfish bloom dynamics
- Taxonomy of finfish, soft corals, jellyfish and seaweeds
- By-catch and its impacts on marine fisheries
Background :
Completed master in Fisheries Resources Management from CIFE, Mumbai in 2010 and Ph.D in Zoology from Andhra University in 2019. Specialised in trawl by-catch and economic valuation of juveniles of commercially important fishes for the PhD programme. I am working in ICAR-CMFRI since 2012 on marine biodiversity and coservation. Presently I am working on taxonomy, species inventory, jellyfish bloom dynamics and conservation of ETP coastal and marine species.
